I think I heard Healy say it had something to do with an ASU cap falling over the dugout rail onto the field. That may have been a different time though, because he didn't make it sound like the ump was going crazy.
: I think he is a pretty good and fair announcer but during Saturdays ASU - Ucla game he kept referring to ASU in the lead when in fact we where losing. He kind of reminds me of John Madden. Great stories - not great details. But I'll listen to him any day that Tim Healy is not on.
: BTW - Anyone know what happened in the 5th or 6th inning of Sundays game where the 3rd/2nd base ump went TOTALLY BALLISTIC and started screaming (and swearing) at or in the direction of our bench? It was the craziest thing I ever saw. There was no play that was involved and the ump just lost it.
