: :: I completely agree. Why start Leake on two days rest when you still have to win another one on Saturday. That's why baseball is the best team game there is, you can't have your best guy pitching for you all the time, and you can't have your best guy hitting for you all the time. Give the ball to Blair or someone else you have confidence in and see what happens on Friday. The Devils cannot make it through 4-5 more possible games using two or three pitchers, you've gotta use five or six guys and hope they can perform. I really think your best bet today would be to start Blair, hope he gives you five or six good innings and hope you've got at least a five run lead going into the seventh, and then throw the kitchen sink at Texas. This gives you the ability to throw Leake, possibly Lambson, possibly Spence for an inning, and Swagerty. The guys they really need to rely on for the next 4 to 5 games are Leake, Spence, Lambson, Swagerty, Blair, and Franzblau. Those last four guys really need to step up and perform for this to happen.
