: Hmmm, hard to tell how talented this team was because it was so freakin' young. I will agree that they did lack the firepower of what we're used to at ASU, but their team unity, especially for such a young, inexperienced team was quite remarkable. As far as next year's team - (And I know - Murph will have recruits to compete for every position) : Outfield : Newman : Calhoun : Ruettiger : Workman : Lusardi : MaGee : My guess is Rudy in CF : Newman in RF : Calhoun in LF : Infield : Raoul Torrez : Maggi : McPhee : Ricco Torrez : Abe Ruiz : Zach Wilson : I'm guessing the Torrez boys on the corners and M&M in the middle (Maggi - McPhee) : DH I see Wilson and Ruiz sharing time - in fact, by the start of the season Ruiz may very well be the starting 1st baseman. : Catcher either Barnes or Pollack : Pitching is the interesting aspect. I know there are a couple of kids that didn't go particularly high that we're hoping will come to ASU but from what we have in the stable now.... : SP - Ishida RHP : SP - Blair RHP : Sp Swaggerty RHP / Lambson LHP : I think either Lambson or Swaggerty (or both) stay in the pen. : They also have Brule (RHP), Borup (RHP) and Preach (RHP - who I see coming out of the pen as well. And, of course, there's always Newman (LHP).
