I know you're not going to believe this SFV Devil, but I agree with you. I think I would have like to have seen a harder thrower come in for the 9th. But I can't fault Murph simply because no one had touched lambson in the first two innings he threw.

This was a tough loss. I think Leake threw well enough to win. We left way too many "ducks on the pond". What was it - 11, 12? And how many balls did we just crush?.... seems like Texas had more trouble with the softly hit balls than the ones that were much tougher chances. Ehhh, sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the other team.

: : No complaints with the coaching in the tournament. Murph made the right moves--just didn't work out. As "they" say, he doesn't hit, throw, catch or run.

: :: Mostly agree with you. Probably would have had someone else throwing the last inning considering the success Rupp had with Lambson on Tuesday. I'd rather have someone in there that can throw the ball by people at that point in the game. I think Lambson will be next year's Spence. He did a great job this year but is better suited to start. Kind of like the continuation of Averill, Satow, and Spence (the soft throwing lefty). Also, didn't like the approach by some of the kids that had been struggling at the plate. Way too many K's looking and hitting behind in the count constantly through the four games. I realize they're trying to make the pitcher work and allow their teammates to see more pitches but there is a fine line between working the count and being non-aggressive at the plate.
