:: Don't get too excited yet. There is still a long time before the August 15th deadline. Most of the lower round picks are probably coming to school. A kid like Barrett could have $750,000 thrown his way possibly and it could make his decision very difficult. Remember, it doesn't matter what round you get drafted in, it's how much money they offer you. Hopefully for ASU's sake, Barrett is on campus next year. He'd be a huge pick up for the pitching staff. This is one thing that hasn't gone well the last few recruiting classes, keeping the best pitchers in state. Over the last few years the Devils have lost AZ kids to Oregon State, UCLA, USC, and Stanford at too high of a rate. There are always going to be kids that want to go play somewhere away from home but at least keep half of the top high school pitchers from AZ that don't sign.
