the historical reference is interesting for trivia buffs.
But the Big 12 was down this year; the PAC 10 was "typically" tough.
I have every confidence the Devils can take care of business in Austin.
UT finished 3rd in the (weak) Big 12 conference tourney, and travelled out of state for only 2 non-conference games - a trip for 3 games to Hawaii, and a trip to Corpus Christi to play TxA&M Corpus.
This is not a dominating team that ASU is facing. This series will be a challenge, but totally within our reach.
In the "objective" ratings - Boyd's rpi and isr, etc. - ASU is consistently rated higher. SOS? UT is 73rd, and ASU is 5th. UT didn't play any non-conference teams of merit - other than Stanford (in Austin).
I say, bring 'em on!
