: : Fullerton is thriving by living on the edge. The Devils did as well against them in Fullerton as Louisville did at home. I think it validates the season, just a bit. Not one for moral victories, but I always prefer to see a team that we lost to do well (unless they happen to be from the Gadsden Purchase area).
: I've been rooting for them too. They are the only west coast team to make the supers. Surprised and disappointed in the PAC 12 showing in the regionals.
: Pac 12 choked in regionals this year. Got screwed by only having one team host. Don't get why there can't be 4 regional sites west of Texas but that's the NCAA for you. UCSB and UCLA losing really killed west coast college baseball for the year. But the funny thing is if those two teams had won their regionals they would have been playing the super versus each other. Would have guaranteed a west coast team in the CWS but also would have knocked out a very good west coast team. Notice how the NCAA didn't pit any SEC teams versus one another in supers. But that's what you get when you pack 10,000 seat double decker stadiums. Athletic departments in the P12 need to start ponying up for baseball facilities that are comparable to the SEC's. Don't have to seat 10k people but should be able to accommodate 5 to 6k. Better players want to play in front of bigger crowds.
