The trend of the program

Until recently, ASU missing the NCAA's was an aberration.

Before CTS, ASU missed:
2012
1999
1996
1995
1991
1986
1985
1980
1979
1974
1971
1970...

Even with Esmay, the program was at least in the hunt.

This season, with the purposely designed soft schedule for the pre-conference portion, the record was an illusion.

With the short squad, the failure to develop pitching, the really poor record against the quality conference opponents, how can anyone - especially Ray Anderson - argue that the program is on a positive upswing?

I can't tell that recruiting is improving - but I will acknowledge, it is not terrible. Having a short squad is inexcusable.

But ASU is no longer competitive with the elite in college baseball. I have no confidence that CTS will get the program to the expected level. is this now the new norm - competing to (perhaps) hold on and make (forget hosting) a regional, every so often, and then getting bounced?

The question for Ray Anderson - on what basis do you believe CTS will re-establish ASU as a premier college baseball program?
