Well you saw the highlights as did I. It's not that Coy lacks athleticism, but neither does Ty Abbot or James Harden. My point was that nothing about this incoming class indicates we are going to improve dramatically in our ability to man up on defense. It's well known, as Taylor Rhode is a local kid, that athleticism is his question mark at the next level. Why else would a 6'8'' player that is money from behind the arc be a borderline D1 prospect? Right now after the early signing period our incoming class is ranked 9th in the PAC-10.
And based on your blatant sarcasm "crucify" is exactly what you were here to do. I love how this board exists to talk ASU basketball and as soon as someone says anything mildy critical and opinionated he gets flamed by losers like you.

When a team has obviously spent several days disecting your defensive scheme you have to give them another look. More so you have to have played multiple looks during the season to make them prepare for different things. I know that Herb is smart, but sometimes smart people can be stubborn as well. It's fine to play the matchup zone as your primary defense, but any intelligent person should know that you have to make adjustments. I think it's a copout to say that ASU did not have the talent to play man-to-man this year. All we have coming in next year are two mildly athletic 3-star players. We are not going to get more athletic. Which means if that were the excuse this year it's going to be the same next year.
