Sand, I could agree with you on the not properly evaluating recent recruits thing. I can maybe see that.
As for your earlier point -- I don't think we're making excuses... I do still think fans are impatient -- not all fans, just a select few who I either heard at the games (the few I got to go to) or saw making the exact same ol' comments after every loss on azcentral or another board. And I really believe those fans actually were saying that Charli is doing a bad job -- they didn't like her system and she'd never win with it and never get great players with it. Perhaps we will agree to disagree on this point. I do concede that Charli did raise the expectations for this year's team -- perhaps mistakenly. I read a Sherri Coale interview yesterday where she admitted that perhaps she should have "believed in them more quietly" when referring to her own team this year. Maybe Charli would say the same thing in retrospect.
