I'm just stating my opinion,it's nothing personal but the truth is Charli never takes responsibility went things go wrong, she always blames her kids for not playing well, not playing defense, not communicating on the court, etc, you say she took the blame for overplaying her two starting guards to compensate for the loss of Dymond.
I'm happy to see her finally take some responsibility but it was a shallow admission on her part because she was way off line again, she didn't lose that game because she overplayed Bri, she lost that game because she overplayed Kate.
Look, I can explain it better this way, we lost our starting PG who also was our leading scorer, she was avg 15 ppg, right off the bat we are going to be missing 15 pts when we line up.
Kate avg 3 ppg and normally does not like to shoot the ball, most often than not she fails to score in alot of games.
So, why would you give her those kind of mins when you know she does not score and you NEED scoring to compensate for the loss of Dymond, she compounded the problem by taking away mins from Danielle who is the 3rd leading scorer and was shooting the ball well in that game!I'm just saying she should have has Nia coming in for Kate not Danielle because we needed points! Charli is a creature of habit, she does not make substitutions because of what is happening on the court at that min, like you said she likes to keep fresh players on the court.I would like to see her rotation players sometimes based on what is actually happening on the court!
My opinion, Charli isn't a very good coach because she doesn't make adjustments on the court.I already stated my problems with her rotation, when have you ever seen her switch out of that man defense and go zone when we are being killed underneath the basket, when have you ever seen her give her low post players help when they are struggling to defend a stronger player, when have you seen her give Sybil help when she Sybil is struggling to guard Appel from Stanford, wouldn't you at least try to double team Appel once in awhile to see if you can slow her down????
Charli likes to spin her talk alot but believe me things are starting to catch up to her, she has recruited badly the past 3 yrs, after the tournament is over I'm going to post how her recruiting has gone and you tell me I'm wrong, like I said I'm just telling it like it is and I'm not going to sugarcoat anything whether you like it or not!
