Pac 10 is 6-0 heading into the Sweet Sixteen.Cal knocked off Virginia at the Galen Center in L.A.99-73.Cal will meet the winner of tonite's matchup between top ranked UConn and Florida.Stanford had no problem with SDST in the Aztec's homecourt last night, winning 77-49 but certainly the biggest and most exciting was ASU's hard fought win over FSU last night.Stanford will meet Ohio St in Berkeley Ca, Saturday.
Man, I can't get over that ASU-FSU game last night, it was a wild crazy game that had me screaming at my TV, certainly alot more exciting and entertaining than the men's game against Syracuse, anyway I'm glad it wasn't a home game because I would have been screaming at Charli the whole game, it was that kind of a game!
You look at the stats and it bears it out, Kate playing 31 mins going 4-7 scoring 12 pts and making two crucial free throws towards the end of the game, you had a great game Kate! Gabby Fage, good old Gabby playing 26 mins and knocking down 2 huge 3 pointers to bring us back into the game and within 1 pt of the lead, late in the 2nd half, unbelievable!
Bri was really the emotional leader especially after hurting her ankle in the 2nd half, coming back into the game and willing the team to victory,it really was a team victory Sybil had a great game,and last but not least Danielle with that huge 3 pointer to win the game, what a clutch shot! Danielle's comments after the game "No, I've got to shoot the ball and I've got to hit it,so that's what I did" that's tell's it all about the character of this team regardless what happens Sunday in Trenton, New Jersey!
BTW did anybody noticed that two time defending Nat champion Tennessee lost in the 1st round to Ball State.
