Its a lot like health benefits at a company. Years ago they were covering all the costs for an employees health benefits. As time went on, and this got more costly, they forced employees to chip in and cover some of the expenses on their own. I'm sure employees weren't happy, but they had to do what they had to do. You learn to adjust.
