i dont get it. Herbs teams have always been atrocious free throw shooting teams. At some point when you see how many games have been lost due to it, you do something about it. Inexcuseable. When I was a younger lad I would hit various parks in Tempe on a nightly basis to play in pick up games. If there were no games going on I would spend hours just shooting jumpers, including 50-60 free throws, which I was hitting at a 90% clip nightly. I wasnt on my high school team or trying to get a scholarship anywhere. I was just working on my game to be better for the next night, have some pride in my abilities. All these guys do is play basketball. I get shooting free throws in an NCAA game is much different than chucking them up at Ward Park. But Jesus man, if youre supposed to be an elite player, have some pride in your free throw shooting and go work your ass off and improve it. If Sendek isnt making you do it then go do it on your own. Rant over.
: : Whether we win or lose, it's hard to watch this team. We don't have one very good stud on this team. Everything is so difficult...
: D4E: Herb looks like he is just going through the motions, and has all but packed it in as far as this team/season goes. His teams look like they have no game plan, and some of his personnel combinations are strange and seem to make no sense. At this point in the season the kids should look somewhat like a team instead of a mob of 5 on the floor. And, free throws, absolutely no excuse no to be able to make 70%. Very disappointing.
