: Welcome Vitaliy Shibel to the ASU family -- a 6-9 forward from Lee Academy in Maine -- committed on Tuesday. Seems like a pretty darn good shooter from distance. Has the European shooters touch! This still leaves us with one schoolie for 2016 by my count...and most of us know who we want that to be to fill out the roster with a 7 ft Center!

: Shibel checked out the Sun Devils during a visit last week. He joins guard Sam Cunliffe and center Jethro Tshisumpa in coach Bobby Hurley's 2016 recruiting class. Cunliffe and Tshisumpa -- both four-star prospects -- already have signed with ASU

Hmm... I wonder if this means that Goodluck Okonoboh is going somewhere else. We had a scholarship for a midyear transfer. (At 12 right now, with 1 to give this year) If we carry that 1 over for next season that means we have 4 with 2 and now a 3rd spoken for. That leaves 1 for Thon Maker. Saturday ESPN had his team, Athletic Institute (Canada) against Finlay Prep, Marcus Howard's team. I have watched the first half and he looked Great! ESPN won't rank players playing out of country but they all say he would be top five if ranked. As we have seen we desperately need bigs. (right now it could be a 10th or 11th place finish in the conference) I just wish we had a veteran big coming in as a midyear transfer or a graduate transfer next season. We will be really young inside other than Obi & Savon, both only 6'7" & 6'6".
PS Anyone notice Andre Adams on the bench, he looks like he might be bigger than 6'9" 210lbs. Negative is he has played only 3 games in the last 2 years and that at a Prep school.
