: : There is something seriously wrong in the men's BB program. Suspensions to Torian Graham (who since has left the team) Savon Goodman, and Maurice O' Field and Andre Spight leaving the team after a disagreement with Hurley. While Bobby Hurley may become a fine D1 coach, it appears that he is in seriously over his head. The team has mailed it in and I don't see how this can help recruiting. I also, would expect at least one defection from the current roster, given the transient nature of today's college BB players.

: Things have really blown up. Doug Haller said it best "Put it simply, the Sun Devils quit." I watched the first half until about the middle of the half and I did something I have never done before in over 40 years, I turned the channel. They came out to triple team Poettle (sp). Utah players were wide open hitting three's and they failed to adjust. No time out. No instructions from the bench to adjust. This team failed to play any team ball on top of it when I turned back to watch the second half. Just players taking it down and jacking up a shot. It made me sick. Sendek got fired last season for the same result. Last year Anderson promised that he would go out and hire a quality basketball coach. He went for the Hurley name. I was worried that Hurley had only been a low major head coach for 2 years. I felt he would have a steep learning curve at this level. It may be worse than I thought. He hired Rashon Burno so I was hopeful he could lean on him since he had coached on a final 4 Championship team. 1060 radio locally has done nothing but blast Hurley and Anderson for the hire. They are a au station so I always take what they say with a grain of salt but too much of what they are saying is true. I guess I have to hope they will be able to land the top level players they are after. If they go elsewhere then I hate to think what my beloved Sun Devil program will be like. If that happens it will be time for the big cigars to call for not only a new coach but a new AD.

I don't think the AD's job is based on the success (or lack of) of the basketball team.
