: A long long time ago, a sports magazine ran a story on Frank Kush. It focused on his reputation for tough, bordering on inhumane, practice methods. Kush was asked if his practices were designed to assure that players would not be tired in the 4th quarter.
: His reply was something like: Everybody gets tired in the 4th quarter. But players that practice through pain and fatigue learn to concentrate and perform through pain and fatigue. They maintain their focus on execution and technique. So while his opponent is thinking of the heat or glancing at the sideline hoping that someone will call a time-out, he looks up to see a tough SOB Sun Devil run up to the line waiting to attack him. And he knows that that Sun Devil will be in his face the rest of the game.

: Flash to the Kansas basketball game. A couple minutes left in the game with ASU holding onto a dwindling lead. Tra Holder gathers the team at midcourt.

: "To close the game we have this drill called "The Hurley Drill," Holder said. "We run a lot, it"s really hard, it's three minutes. I told them, 'this is like running the Hurley Drill, we gon' fight through it and we gon' beat the drill.'"

: Kanas had tough SOB Sun Devils coming at them for the rest of the game. It's good to be a Sun devil.
