First a tough loss to Oregon before the largest crowd of the season. Largest turnout of students I have ever seen. They filled up the student section lower and upper sections then they started filling in around the top of the arena. Team showed they had not yet learned to master the zone. Too many missed 3's and free throws lead to a 4 pt loss.
Then Saturday a late pm game after the late niter in Thursday. OSU showed that they are not last years last place Beav team when they gave U4 a game until the last 4 or 5 minutes. They did the same to us until Shannon Evans came up with the type of game we were used to in most of the non conference season. Kimani and DeQuon gave us valuable minutes and points. Remy got back to being the sparkplug he had been in the non conference season. This season is proving that there can not be any off nights as every team as proven dangerous on any given night whether home or away. If we finish high in the conference we will have to earn it. Side note: Had to laugh at the attendance total for Saturday. No way was it only like 200 less than Thursday nite. It was a great crowd, more like 10,000 plus. Not the 13,459 given. Probably the second or third best crowd but don't do the old football attendance method of total season ticket holders then adding the extra tickets sold.
We have a quick turnaround game on Wednesday on the road as a late PAC-12 niter. Nothing is going to be easy. We play the Trees who are playing really well the last two weeks.
