So far, this has been nothing but hearsay for schools like Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. Anybody can stand up and say Arizona offered $150,000 for Nassir Little, but without a paper trail, email, or recorded phone call, this evidence is nothing but hearsay.
And fortunately for Arizona, the Nike offices were never raided and their phones never tapped. Which means it is unlikely there is the corroborating evidence the NCAA will need to severely punish Arizona. Book Richardson is likely guilty of taking bribes to get kids leaving the program to sign with the agent and financial adviser, but that's not an NCAA violation. Especially if the kid had used up eligibility or declared for the draft.
This doesn't mean Arizona is innocent, of course. But it means this trial and the Richardson trial is likely only going to be a lot of smoke that when it clears, won't give the NCAA enough information to give most schools mentioned nothing more than a stern look and a tiny slap on the wrist. Which is par for the NCAA anyway.
