I would agree that I have seen some signs of improvement this year. Namely he seems to be screaming at officials less. He also seems to be holing the players more accountable.
The next step I would like to see is just to have more structure in the offense that gets good looks for good shooters. Valtonen can flat stroke it and needs to get more than 1-2 shots a game. Same with Thomas. But the half court offense seems to be dump low to Mello, Remy penetrate, or dribble weave up top. Literally nothing else is run. And so non ball handlers seem to get forgotten.
: Although some of the games have not been "picturesque", and given the disciplinary decision to hold White and Cherry out of the Colorado game, I think ASU's record is exactly where it should be - so far, this season. The UGA game will be a good barometer to see whether the team has developed to date.
: I think in prior years - I agree, there have been some disappointing losses. But I do think CBH is now coaching at a better level, and is learning how to win consistently, and avoid the disappointing losses.
