Agree with a lot of what you said. I liked that when ASU got the lead they didn't revert to taking bad shots trying to put the game away. Instead they valued possessions on both ends of the floor. But truth be told, Georgia shot the ball horribly and that was a main contributor to this win.
If I were Bobby Hurley I would show the team tapes of last year's Colorado game at home. That game was a blueprint for how we should play offensively. In that game we had 24 assists on 32 made baskets. Yesterday we had 12 on 33 made baskets. We still play too much one-on-one in the half court.
But this team's defense is light years ahead of past years teams. Last year we would defend hard but not smart. This year we are playing smarter on D.

: Last night's win showed continued improvement by both individuals and the team. Yes, there is still improvement to be made and I expect to see same. Let's focus on some positives:
: 1. Lawrence played a very solid second half. perhaps his best in the past two seasons. CBH said something to Lawrence in the first half, perhaps that got Lawrence's attention. Too much talent to not be contributing more.
: 2. Rommelo is a beast. there were a couple of times she just yanked an offensive rebound form a GA player and put the ball back up for 2.
: 3. Verge is just so quick to the basket. Until he finds his stroke he will score from the inside.
: 4. Team defense was just stifling.
: 5. Although no offense from Cherry he has been plying some good defense. Foul prone, but perhaps that can be improved.
: 6. Good crowd last night.
: 7. Good start to both halves and strong finish in first half. Nice to be playing with the lead and not from behind.
: So, two more good opponents next week. One good thing about the time off is that with school being out of session the coaches can get more time with the team.
: I have not focused in negatives, it serves no useful purpose. Each player knows what aspect of their game needs work and I am confident it is being addressed. Also, some players make great offensive contributions while others do the same with their defense. All players are worthy of our support.
