What the heck is happening?! I didn’t expect to win last night. As crooked as UofA is, they do have talented players. But shooting at 23 percent is just not acceptable! Especially going into conference play when you know every other school is going to have one, or more, shooter who can shoot lights out.
Prior to the season starting there was an article in AZ Central I think, where one of the veterans said that practices were chippy between the new guys and old guys. That quote has bugged me ever since. I think one of the problems with this team is that there aren’t gel-ing with each other. Too many “stars” and not enough team work. Who are those teams that always end up in the tourney, the ones with senior or veteran leaders, and the teams that work TOGETHER, for the “ one shining moment”.
So what are we going to do? It’s time for our senior, and more importantly our vets to step up, decide what the identity of this team is going to be, and play ball. I am not saying these kids don’t work hard, but they need to figure themselves out and who this TEAM is. And I will be in DFA cheering in my seat while they do.
