I know this is hindsight, but did you ever really think 4-0 was on the table. This board and ASU fans in general crack me up at how over the top optimistic they get with this program. Even in our 7-game winning streak we beat the worst team in the league Washington on the road. Then we swept home games versus UCLA (without their top big man) and barely beat USC. Then we beat Stanford on the road by 5 (without da Silva and Cal on the road by 5. Then Oregon at home by 5 (only really impressive win of the 7) and Oregon State by 1 at home.
To think we were going into SOCAL and sweeping is really drinking the kool aid. My prediction a few weeks back (after 5 in a row) was a sweep of the Oregon schools at home, get swept in SoCal and then a sweep of the Washington schools here.
We are not nearly efficient enough on offense to consistently beat good teams. We hang in games because of our defense and getting points in transition, but on half court offensive sets we are still mainly a one-on-one team.
: : Agree. Both Colorado and Oregon have easy remaining schedules. Unfortunately, if we are going to win the conference, we're going to have to win the next four. That's a tough mountain to climb.
