I agree with your concerns. CBH is all about giving his players freedom and I think he needs to balance it with some accountability and discipline. I like that players don't have to watch over their shoulder for every mistake they make. But they should have to look over their shoulder when they make multitudes of them. And that does not see to be an issue. Multiple players going one-on-one and taking terrible contested shots, with obviously no fear of repercussions. Bagley was terrible against Cal with this shot selection and went 2-9 from the field 1-7 from 3 and played some of the laziest defense I have seen. But he played 29 mins even with leaving early with an injury. Christopher had his worst game as a Sun Devil last night, forcing several bad shots. He was only taken out when he fouled out after getting a T.
: The SD State and 'Nova games have really made this team look bad. Not just struggling. But undisciplined and lacking in the basics.
: D - not good at all, and we are giving up way too many offense boards to our opponents. this is as basic as it comes. I did not think we would miss Romelo White THIS much, but his absence is really noticeable.
: O - passing - not sure that is part of the game plan. Apparently, we like to just dribble... a lot. we also don't shoot very well.
: I get the "they are just trying to figure out everybody's roles, etc." spin, but what I see are players who are not meshing at all.
: I have sort of turned my expectations around - where I thought this team had a chance to win the conference, I think it will be lucky to get into the NCAA Tournament.
