The improvement - in the form of an emphasis on assists and moving the ball - is there, based on the Oregon St. game. But unless ASU can shoot lights out, because we will be out-rebounded by everybody, at both ends, this may be a long season. And on top of this, ASU does not shoot 3's very well.
I also think not having Graham is significant - although both he and Osten are walking foul producing machines - often not fairly, IMHO. Cherry can get boards (when he is healthy) and so can Lawrence.
Not sure why you say Hurley has lost the team - I don't see that at all. I still see engagement on the sidelines during TO's, etc.
