(philly) If Sun Devil Stadium sold out for every game, no matter what the team's record and no matter who the opponent is, then we could offer teams $600,000 - $1 million to visit, which is the going rate for an attractive opponent.
As it is, I'm sure the AD did some simple math and realized that we would only get 30-40K fans at SDS on Labor Day weekend, regardless of whether we were playing Kansas State or Portland State.
Also, keep in mind that we have a very attractive list of BCS teams coming to SDS in future seasons, including Wisconsin, LSU, Notre Dame and Colorado. 2010 is an aberration.
