(LSA): Gad, again, this is not anything personal (please see the IP). I just don't see the wisdom in the "editorial process," whether I am in attendance or not, that allows the "amateur" staff cartoonist having a "big, buff Wildcat" poking a meek little Sun Devil in the rear with his own pitchfork just after last year's "rivalry game." After "they" just barely squeaked out a win on a last minute miscue! Or a regional editor writing a column "reminiscing" about his "fond memories" of his undergraduate days down in North Nogales, maybe having a beer or two, and playing pranks on visiting Sun Devil supporters. But now that he makes a living up here, he went on to editorialize that, when all was said and done, "it is just a game." I remember a somewhat more renowned writer who once said something to the effect that "all of life is but a stage," too. I'd rather read him. Then there was "our boy" Haller, pointing out to hapless potential viewers, the top "must bowl games to watch" in the past bowl season. The Rats in the Holiday Bowl was top-tier, he said, because, after all, the Rats were the only "college team in Arizona to make it to a bowl game." Where the hell has he been for the last ten years? But I took his advice , and indeed, it was a "scintillating game," perhaps second only to the Devils' boring 1997 Sun Bowl win over Purdue(?), wherein they had to "run over" the other team, because Ryan Keally was "out for the count." Had he not been, in the last game of the season that year, the Fiesta Bowl was waiting with "open jackets," and who knows what would have transpired from there? I'm not really talking "conspiracy theories," Gad, just careless, perhaps uncaring editors and writers. I see that constantly, in my own business, from younger, inexperienced people. Most of them have come and gone. I still go to my business everyday. I know that you would not be that, from experience, over the years. God bless.
