If Manny Wilkins leaves ASU with a legacy of mediocrity, it won't be because of this game.
To be fair, there were shades of the "old" Manny. Like BigRon stated, the Oregon DC got Manny rattled in the pocket and it made a big difference. He panicked and took a couple of sacks that he would've avoided a couple of weeks ago.
With that said, his accuracy wasn't really that far off last night like it's been in the past. Yes, he could've helped the 2-pt conversion a bit and maybe kept a couple of his throws a little more out of the turf for Harry, but I think that's being nit picky.
That 2-pt conversion was good in slo-mo (no review on such a KEY PLAY???).
And Harry didn't quite get it done on those overturns. (Anytime N'Keal sits up and makes the "good catch" gesture, it's pretty clear that he wasn't sure he caught it and needs to be reviewed. A coach needs to pull him aside and tell him to stop doing that.)
And Manny played better than Oregon's "#1 at his position in the NFL Draft" QB - who was all over the place in the 2nd half.
