I would say that losing to SDSU and Colorado are both very bad losses. Let me put it this way, ASU beat USC, UCLA, Arizona, and Utah. That wasn't good enough to win the Pac-12 South. Had they beaten lowly Colorado, it would've been enough to play for the Pac-12 Championship. What could've been?
I hope we don't look back at this missed opportunity in the next couple of years and say we missed our chance to win the Pac-12 Conference that year. Reality tells me, that USC and UCLA are going to get better.
The good news for ASU is that they do not play Washington and Stanford the next two seasons. It's important that ASU take advantage of the scheduling break, unlike the U of A, who had that schedule the last two seasons. Also, ASU gets both Washington State and Oregon at home in 2019. Next year, might have to be the year for ASU to win the Pac-12 South/ Championship. Go Sun Devils!
