Have we recovered from what Dobbs did to us 8 or so years ago? Seems like our QB room has been out of wack ever since. We either have few to no one or blessed with tons of talent all about the same year in school. We havenÕt had the QB in each class for what I feel is a long time. We had Kelly/Berc/ and ?? Fighting it out for awhile, all in the same class or within one class, Then we had what we all so well watched as Manny, White, Barrett, and PerkinÕs fought it out again, mostly in the same class or close enough, Now we have Sterling with a big lead in school yet everyone seems to be pointing to the three Freshmen. Those three will fight it out, I can only expect that one or two will transfer in the next couple of years based on how it goes. So my question for this board is has college football gone away from the one QB in each class model? Or can we just not get the ship righted? I wouldnÕt be surprised if this is the new model, bring in 3 or 4 guys within the same class or one year off, let them fight it out, Pick your QB for the next 3 or 4 years and redo at that point. Backfill with a lower rated QB for backup purposes. In some ways it makes a lot of sense. A QB with two or three years experience is far better then a new QB every year or two. Maybe then we can complete for a PAC12 championship every 3 or 4 years. I believe with Manny we were very close this year, we just were missing a couple things in the formula this year. We missed a golden opportunity with an experienced QB in a weak PAC12. Could have won it all, for sure should have won the South.
