The rankings in February are really flawed until players are declared eligible, enroll, and actually get on the field . Also, Not one, not one, division one program recruited even HALF the JCer's we did under CTG. Why, because the college coaches will tell you, to the letter, it's risk versus reward. Herm even said in the press conference that he didn't recruit JC was because of the ability to select and recruit HS players that have 5 to play 4 or as he said good ones 3 to play 3. Take the time and analyze how many programs took more than 2 or maybe in some cases three and you will see two things stand out. The good programs don't do it. If they do get a juco, it is a very very top player. Never taking 6 or 9 in a season I tired of studying this and realized why this practice isn't followed. Geographically, spending more time away from our main recruiting areas has never been consistently fruitful. I did the study on CTG recruiting Texas with his staff and the number of signees did not garner the time spent.
