I usually go to ESPN for times because they report times recorded at camps. If they donít have a verified time, they leave it blank. Some of the other sites post times they pick up from interviews with coaches and players. Those time are indeed suspect. So yes, I believe these players time. And it should be difficult for you to say that you believe some of the ESPN times but not others because they do not support your argument.
Technique helps coverage, but you canít beat speed with technique. I am sure that you are knowledgeable enough to know that the DBís speed determines how close he can play to a WR and how soon he must turn his hips to run with the DB. It became apparent this year that opponents now have Chase Lucas clocked and know his cushion and when he will turn. That is when WRs cut and get separation. It seems that DB coverage speed is more a DNA thing than a S&C thing.
