Woodie Dixon:

Woodie H. Dixon, Jr. is the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs for the Pac-12 Conference. He was formerly the salary cap manager and General Counsel for the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been with the team since August 2004; previously, he worked in the National Football League offices and for the law firms Sidley, Austin, Brown & Wood LLP (in Chicago) and Dorsey & Whitney (in Minneapolis, Minnesota).

A Senior Vice President of Business Affairs storming the both to make calls in favor of a USC team in a large urban media center stinks. Just fire Dixon and whoever allowed him to overturn calls. What is Scott going to do if the “consultants” recommend actions along those lines?

From my corporate experience, the use of consultant study is to bury this issue for many months until things cool down. Then a watered down “better training and definition of responsibilities” report will be published. Everyone will go Scott Free, so to speak.
