“Camp T is not the same old Camp T,” White said. “It’s a lot more ‘cushy’ with a ‘C’, and it needs to be a lot more ‘Kushy’ with a ‘K.’ ” — Danny White
“It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done,” said Breunig, who went on to have a 10-season and Super Bowl-winning career with the Dallas Cowboys after leaving ASU. “I would never compare football to war, but it’s a season in your life where you’re asked to step up and become a man and do things that are beyond what you’ve ever imagined before.” — Bob Breunig
Back in the 60s the football players would eat in the MU cafeteria with the rest of the students. I used to love listening to their conversations. They all hated Kush and had a love/hate of Camp T. It was a (Sun) Devils Island set in the beautiful pines where players were physically and mentally tortured. But it was two weeks of self discovery. They learned that their physical, emotional and mental limits were far greater than they imagined. And they bonded together to survive Kush. Kush would probably be jailed today for what he did to players during those three a day practices of the 1960s.
Nice artificial turf. The place looks pretty.
