Thatís why I said - based on - the Psycho. Dom Capers used a mix of LBs and safeties in the second line. It could have been called, and at times was a 1-3, 1-4 or 1-5 combo. He sometimes lined up a NT over center and a DT directly over dive hole tackle to discourage a short yardage run play.
Capers Psycho often looked like an anger mob milling around before the snap. The essence of the defense was to commit OLs to defending space with no defenders, to hide first line pressure and second line zones, and to make the QB guess what DBs/safeties were in zone or man coverage. That was the similarity I meant to reference.
