I was doing a little reminiscing about the 2013 PAC-12 Championship game. I had a triple bypass earlier in the week and tried to talk my doctor into granting me a day pass to attend the game. Not only did he refuse, but he put a guard at my ICU door. He said that it was to assure that I would not be disturbed while watching the televised game in the room. He must have found out that I had already lined up a handicap van and a wheelchair.
SDS looked great with 69,535 in attendance. The championship record crowd was 95% Sun Devil fans. Since then, the game has been moved to Levi Stadium with terrible results. In fact last year's game drew only 35,134. The place looked empty with only 35,000 in a stadium with a football capacity of 68,500. Another brilliant idea from the genius that created the PAC-12 network. I doubt that the ASU 69,535 attendance record will be in much jeopardy this week when Utah and Oregon play.
