Low interceptions is generally a good thing. But that was partly due to a very conservative approach that threw a large percentage of passes as very low risk. The bottom line is our offense was not very good most of the season. I would rather have a QB throw 8 picks instead of 2, and us average 35 points per game than throw 2 and us average 25. We averaged below 30 ppg for the first time since 2009. Even with that "terrible" QB Manny Wilkins we never averaged under 30. And the end of the day the offenses job is to score points. And the offense under Daniels was the worst at ASU (by 5 ppg) since 2009.
Potential? Tons. But player of the year is based on results not potential. And Jayden had like 4 really good games all year.
