That is what is different. Minnesota can draw from all its adjacent states for BIGS. ASU has New Mexico and Mexico as neighbors which isn't any help.

The entire Gopher O-line roster, including freshmen averages 6-5.3 319 lbs for the 16 linemen. A significant number of the squad are regional, Midwest corn fed beef recruits. Eno Benjamin would have rushed for 2,000 yards in consecutive seasons behind this line. Edwards would have had a pair of 10 win seasons and we would be calling him a genius. Minnesota has 20 DLs with about half of them in the 295-335 lbs range.

The Minnesota style of play ain't fancy, but they can stay on the field with any team.
