From what I can see CBH wants to give the players a lot of freedom to be creative on their own. He seems to coach the game like they do in the NBA and maximize individual talent. This freedom probably brings in a lot of the good recruits we have. But I think he needs to find a balance. He needs to force more structure that they can fall back on when talent level we are facing does not allow us to get to the rim at will.
My fear though is that he doesn't see it that way. I listened to his interview yesterday with Doug and Wolf and he just continues to blame in on shooting. Maybe that is just what he is saying to the media. I find it hard to believe that Hurley and his assistant coaches are pleased with the execution they are seeing on offense.
I honestly am shocked at what I see. Hurley was coached by arguably the best college coach of this generation in Coach K, and the best HS coach of this generation his Dad. It really makes no sense that this would be such an issue for him.
But to me the only answer is for CBH to be dissatisfied with himself and make changes.
