Devils Advocate,
Well, what did Dennis Erickson do with his kids/ recruits??? I'll tell you, they played undisciplined football, got penalties to extend opponents drives, so they could kick game winning field goals, or score game winning touchdowns. How about getting an extra point blocked and returned for 2 points at USC, to allow the Trojans to kick a field goal to beat you in 2010. A total lack of attention to detail. ASU suffered some of the most agonizing losses during the last 4 years of Dennis Erickson's tenure in Tempe, Arizona. In fact, ASU's record in one score games (8 points or less) from 2008-2011 was 3-13.

Frankly, I get tired of the Todd Graham won with Dennis Erickson's recruits argument. Were a vast majority of those players in 2012-14 Erickson recruits? Yes, did they do well under Dennis Erickson? No. Did they actually play disciplined football and live up to their potential under Todd Graham? Yes.

You can hate on Coach Graham all you want to, but the man changed a toxic culture, under Dennis Erickson, and helped ASU football get back to winning games. His record over 6 years was 46-32, he also beat every member of the Pac-12 at least once in his 6 years here. Dennis Erickson WON with Dirk Koetter's recruits, going 10-3 in 2007, then didn't do jack squat after that season, going 5-7, 4-8, 6-6, and 6-7 over the next four seasons.

I stand by what I've said, Todd Graham did a good job here in Tempe, Arizona. I thank him for saving the program, because had we hired June Jones, aka, Dennis Erickson Part 2, we might be in the same situation they are at in Tucson right now. Go Sun Devils!
