Fellow posters, pundits, and prognosticators . . .
Can someone knowledgeable in the esoteric limitations imposed by the NCAA scholarship regulations (as they relate to ASU's current scholarship count) please clarify where we stand.
How many current scholarship players do we have now that Bubak is taking his leave?
How many short of the 85 limit are we?
What effect do incoming transfers have on our limits?
Shouldn't there be some provision in the NCAA guidelines to compensate for the transfer rule change that has resulted in the current transfer portal diaspora? ASU isn't the only school this is affecting.
Am I the only one who thinks it's crazy for teams to be limited out of completely restocking their rosters when such a rule change-generated exodus depletes a team's human resources? It feels like we've been put on probation for doing nothing wrong. Why not just have an 85 scholarship limit and leave it at that?
