Iím not an expert on the Cardinals (or ASU for that matter) but Iíve been around long enough to see Woody Green play and almost everyone since.. Maybe itís been awhile but I purposely said Home state for a reason. They took Nathan laduke last round of his draft early in their stay here in Arizona. I donít believe many Gave Tillman more then a punchers chance to make the team (to slow for DB, to small for LB), seems like there are one or two more late round ASU players in the Cardinals history. Plus I know they took some UofA guys for what I felt like was the same reason. Plus they have brought several back at the end of their careers just to cut them before the season (donít get me wrong, some late career ASU free agents have made the team with minor rolls). Hey drafting and signing local stars is good for business from a PR standpoint. We all know the lineup card is almost completely filed out before fall camp practice starts, with not more then a few spots truely open (barring injuries) no matter how many players they bring in I just want Eno to be in a situation were he is wanted for this football talent not PR or some other reason. Sorry canít help but wonder why Eno, Leduke and others were not a fit for the Cardinals until the last or late rounds of their draft year. You do have to admit ASU and the Cardinals have had a strange relationship ASU is the reason they had birth in Arizona (which at this point has really hurt ASU in the valley), then they sued ASU, then didnít Take a hall of fame linebacker,, then as was pointed out above waited 22 years to draft another ASU player and did it in the final round of the draft..... In 22 years they passed on a lot of good players from ASU. Have they ever taken a ASU player early in the draft? All I can remember are players taken late in the draft and help me but all I can recall making the 55 man roster as a drafted player is Tillman...he was just special, .... now of course ENO.
