I get that the Power 5 are going to do whatŐs best for the Power 5, but cancelling all OOC games to get in at least some of the revenue they need from the football cash cow that funds all the other sports is going to further divide the haves - Power 5 - and have nots - smaller conference programs.
Those million dollar paydays Sac State and directional schools contract for to show up at a Power 5 school and collect a drubbing and a check... though sometimes teams like NMSU donŐt get that memo...are what fund smaller conference schools athletic programs.
Just like Power 5 wants some football money, even without the ŇeasyÓ home games against small schools, I am certain ADŐs from small schools are sweating losing those road game paydays.
Speaking of NMSU, they are no longer conference affiliated, and they donŐt have a contract to broadcast all their home games on NBC, so all of their games are OOC for their opponents.
Do they just go without a season?
I know, lifeŐs not fair, but while the Power 5 look at how to get at least some of their football money, it seems pretty shitty to screw the little guy in the process.
Maybe one warmup game against a school that needs a check, then play the conference games.
