If the virus is still very active when the Fall semester begins, at risk ASU employees who are older and with underlying health conditions maybe should sit out a while.
As for the students, though it would be good to know who might be infected and already has antibodies week one, few are at risk, and even if they test them all, they could literally have to do it again & again every day or week as they could be infected any day, week, or month after the first test.
IMO, it is simply not practical to test them all daily or weekly, and if the at-risk are protected and the virus is still around, some feel it might be best for the herd develop some immunity anyway, which could help now, and if the virus comes back for another wave next Winter.
The at-eisk need to be priority 1 going forward in my opinion, or hat it's worth. Pretty sure there are some 65+ profs with underlying health conditions.
