Had to share this story with my brother posters. After all the board discussions (infighting) on COVID-19 I thought maybe a light hearted post would be good.
This morning my daughter dropped me off at Shasta Orthopedics to have a set of 8 shots in my right side lower back. Two weeks ago I had 9 shots in my left side. I have these shots about twice a year and it makes me feel like an 18 year old again (for a few months). I have had the same doctor, Doctor Sabet, since the beginning (4 years ago). We both have a "shoe fetish" and he will wear a NEW athletic shoe every time I show up. I do the same and then he has his operative staff (the 3 who assist my shots) vote on whose shoes are the "coolest". He won today 2 to 1. His were definitely cooler!!
I had taken my cap off and placed it on a table, along with my iPhone, wallet, etc. As usual we were chatting about golf (he supports my FCA golf tournament each year) as he administered the shots and 15 minutes later I was standing up and putting on my cap. He notices the fork and says "Did you go to Arizona State". I said "Yep I did" and he gives me the hand fork and says "so did I". He and I are constantly trading gibes so what came next was not a surprise.
He goes "So Marv, aren't you glad I'm not a wildcat? Next trip in and they might have had to carry you out in a body bag? His primary assistant died laughing and I left feeling even younger!!!
