So you were one making all that noise!
I was working in Santa Barbara and could not get back for the games so I had dropped my season tickets. But Saturday morning my Brother-in-Law called to tell me that he found a pair of tickets for the sold out game. We drove straight through, dropped my Son with off, and headed to SDS. The seats were near the top of Sec 237 on the NE curve. Early in the 4th quarter came the revelation that we were actually going to win the game. It seemed like everybody on the upper level started jumping up and down at the same time. We could see the level undulating and it certainly did look like the place was coming apart.
I had caught a lot of grief from my USC grad boss during the previous week. But Monday, he never mentioned the game. He also left his USC class ring home for a couple weeks.
