I agree with what your point; let's keep the best players from Arizona.
We must also consider that our overall recruiting situation is the best that it has been in some long time.
ASU is in on numerous players who are recognized as being top recruits.
ASU is making the "final four" on many of those players - along with traditional powerhouse programs.
ASU is getting rave reviews by recruits from all over the country.
ASU has Jean Boyd and his staff.
ASU graduation rates, coaching, and facilities are all high level.
We are on the right path. Of course, if we don't get those high-rated recruits to commit to ASU, nobody is going to recall years from now, that we were "in on" or "in the top 4" for those recruits.
Programs like Oregon are ahead of ASU. But I do see us leapfrogging Stanford (now) and Washington (soon). There are two dozen programs in the rest of the country that we will likely never catch.
But I sure like the immediate direction of the program. I was going to type something snarky about uofa football, but we have pulled away from them on too many levels at this time - so I'll refrain.
Go Devils !!
