I've played against, for, or with almost everyone that you mentioned in this post. Yes, I went to Ingleside, then Arcadia. I played against Rob Millsop, who pitched AAA ball for Salt Lake City (Angels organization). He had a great slider.
Glen Purvis used to come out to Arcadia when I played baseball there in the late 1970's. He used to work out there before his minor league season started. Purvis struggled to hit the ball in the minor leagues, but had a CANNON for an arm! He played right field for a reason. He could really throw the ball.
The Beuerlein family is a great family! I know all 5 of the boys/ men. Chuck played catcher at Grand Canyon, and was my baseball coach in B Legion. Jim is the one brother that I really didn't know too well. I know him, but not really too much, since he was older than me and did not play, or coach me. I played high school baseball with both John and Steve Beuerlein. John was one year older than me, he played at SCC and the U of A. He also played AAA ball for the Denver Bears (Brewers organization). John was a great defensive catcher. Steve was one year younger than me and was also a catcher. Steve's a great guy as well. He's been a member of the Phoenix Fire Department for many years. In fact, I think he's one of the main guys at the PFD. The youngest of the Beuerlein boys is Eddie/ Ed. He graduated from Arcadia in 1984. Ed played baseball at SCC and Louisiana Tech. He was also a catcher. Ed was drafted by the Houston Astros and played in their organization for a few years. Ed had awesome power. In fact, I think he set the Arcadia home run record for a single season. Ed is also a Phoenix Fire Fighter. The Beuerlein's are a great family! Go Sun Devils!
