Does the NCAA limit the number of offers?

I've never been in sales, but wonder if schools look at it like a sales funnel, with close rates and offers being the main metrics.

I know they limit total scholarships, annual signees etc, but if it comes down to offers & close rates for each position need, and there are no offer limits, what is to keep you from offering every good OL on the board that fits your system?

If you have half the close rate of another school, float twice the offers?

I suppose close rates drop with higher rated recruits, perhaps with further geography, etc, and the staff has limited time to give each recruit, and to evaluate. Then again, perhaps the way have staffed the moneyball team offers more capacity on the evaluation side?

Hope we add some beef in the 22 class!
