maybe - but this is what I take. (too bad the site is subject to subjective interpretation.)
Since 6/9, the number of "cases" (which I take as simply positive test results) has been falling precipitously. (Confirmed Cases by Day) but most "cases" are clearly not resulting in patients.
Since 6/6, the number of "deaths" has been falling - as a trend line - there are a few bumps.
Since 6/2, the number of hospitalizations (this is what I referenced before, and you understandably reacted - "what?" ) has fallen dramatically.
ICU bed usage has been trending - slowly - upward since the beginning - but we still have 20% available capacity.
Not sure why the number of ICU or inpatient beds are for "confirmed or suspected" COVID's. wouldn't a health care provider try to determine the status ASAP?
COVID discharges are trending up - but at a slow rate.
The aggregate number of ventilators in use continues to rise - again, for "confirmed or suspected" COVID patients.
so - I agree, a mixed bag - but I see a glass half full.
